Milo Academique

Milo is an intelligent, shy teen with a passion for evolutionary sociology. He grew up in a quiet home environment without many friends outside of his books and the comfort of his bedroom. He developed a close relationship with his godfather, Oakewood, after losing his father James when he was still a very young kit. However, Oakewood's tension with his mother meant that visits became few and far between, which was only compounded when Milo moved to Lumiens to study sociology with his advisor. When he moved to Tangled Branch to pursue his doctoral thesis, Milo was finally given the opportunity to get out of his shell... but as had been a pattern since his childhood, he preferred the company of books over other creatures.

Still, some part of him has always wanted to make friends and be a part of a community. His interest in the world and simultaneous inability to connect with it is a frustrating combination. Since moving to Treehollow to develop his research project, Milo has reconnected with Oakewood and found a potential fresh start. But the question remains: will he be able to connect with other creatures his age and find his sense of self, or will the temptation to hole up and study the strange creature known as Tamberlane keep him from finding belonging?
