Ainsley Scavenger

If there's trouble in Treehollow, you can be sure Ainsley is worrying about it. The pine marten-weasel scavenger has a predisposition for anxiety and a predilection for scary stories. They try not to let their imagination get away from them, but life on the outside is scary, and they often struggle to connect with those around them when it's so much easier to stay at home with a cup of tea, a good book, and your own safe, predictable company. For all their superstitions and fears, however, Ainsley is a deeply thoughtful and curious creature at heart, and this fascination for the world led them to develop a close friendship with Oakewood. They bicker together about the scientific validity of Ainsley's far-fetched claims during their frequent chess matches, but the two's butting heads conceals a close friendship.

Ainsley is a creature of strong emotions and, perhaps, a stronger heart than they give themselves credit for. With the right encouragement and support, they might even stand a chance of leaving their isolation behind and finding their place in a scary but beautiful world.
